Quick and easy, these peanut butter bars are so delicious! Topped with a layer of chocolate, quick to make and with so few ingredients, they make a great go to bar to make when you need something sweet in a hurry!
Well, we are still at home. All the time. At least it feels that way. We’ve been going running, and we’ve been hiking a few times. Oh, and the occasional trip to the store. But really, we’ve just been home. A lot.
The problem with being home all the time without a job is that I consistently seem to be checking the pantry or fridge to see if there is anything delicious to eat. Last week I tried to hold back on baking desserts, but by Saturday it was time.
My constant checking on the pantry reminded me that we had graham crackers that needed using. So I decided on peanut butter bars. These no bake bars are easy to make and so delicious! Perfect for a quick dessert when you need something sweet fast!
1 cup butter, melted
2 cups graham cracker crumbs (I blitzed my graham crackers in my food processor for this)
2 cups powdered sugar
1 cup + 1/4 cup peanut butter
1 1/2 chocolate chips
Mix melted butter, graham cracker crumbs, powdered sugar, and one cup peanut butter in a medium bowl. Spread evenly in a 9 x 9 square pan.
Combine remaining 1/4 cup peanut butter and chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave until melted, stirring every 30 seconds until melted. Spread over the peanut butter layer. Refrigerate bars for at least 30 minutes.
